Snape has always been my favorite.
I love Snape but I make no excuses for his cruelty towards Harry and other students [let’s not forget how cruel he was towards Neville- who had no one’s eyes but his own]. Snape was a hero but he was far from perfect. But that’s what makes him such a wonderful character. He’s complex, flawed and incredibly well-written. A character doesn’t have to be ‘nice’ in order to be great. It’s the dichotomy of his capacity for selfless heroism and his capacity for cruel bullying that make him fascinating. The majority of JK’s characters are written as decidedly human. None of them are without flaws and Snape exemplifies this.

Snape is still my favorite character. I cried when he died and his story touched me the most…
That was when I knew that I just couldn’t hate Snape.
And DAMN, Harry. How about a little appreciation!?

So I’m trying this out again. I tried twitter and was somewhat unimpressed with the capabilities. I wanted something like facebook but not that all my friends would have to see. This way only the people who really feel like reading about our daily life can come out and read/look at my thoughts. I’m still new at this so I don’t know how everything works so I’m trying to figure everything out.
